StuBot Professional 1.4
StuBot Professional is an Automated
IRC client also known as a bot. It has many functions, and can act as an
infobot, funbot, chanbot, or a general human substitute for IRC chat rooms.
It can learn the answers to questions, reply to text it recognizes, execute
custom made extension scripts or plugins, grant user access to higher
commands, monitor a chat room for swearing or repetition floods. There is
also a built in mathematics engine and 8-ball. And to wow you further, the
interface is sleek and easy to use - and can even double as an IRC client,
with support for aliases & popups.

StuBot release/update!
Hi everybody, I've just uploaded an update pack to fix a few bugs
and add more functionality to the autoexec handling and script engine. I
have also fixed up errors with re-loading StuBot even after you had closed
it. On top of this I have made lot's of minor fixes and removed redundant
code making it more efficient. You can get the update pack from the download
area - now up to version 1.4.0609. If you already have 1.4.0571 don't bother
running the "CONVERT.EXE" file. If you are using anything below
1.4.0571 you should run it.

StuBot release/update!
My apologies to any of you that downloaded the new version of StuBot
Professional (version 1.4.0571)! Unfortunately I overlooked a small portion
of code when I updated the engine, I used obsolete code from backups. The
main problem which has been reported to me by quite a few of you was that
StuBot was not replying or learning. I have no re-written all of the
obsolete code and made a few minor tweaks here and there. Again, my
apologies for this inconvenience. You can download a now FULLY working
update for your copy of StuBot here.
The full setup has also been modified and the new EXE has been added.
18.07.2001 - StuBot
Professional update!
Hey everyone, yes I know it's been ages since I've updated the site. I'm
actually planning on re-designing the whole thing to remove clutter and make
it simpler to navigate. But anyway more to the point! I have updated StuBot
to version 1.4.571, which includes drastic updates to the script engine and
editor, some minor UI modifications like a font chooser, and a visual banner
for unregistered users. The script engine now supports both VBScript and
JavaScript so it's more flexible and I've changed the BOTFUNC. command to
STUBOT. so it's easier to think about what kind of script you are writing. I
have also added 2 new flags to the reply engine and sorted out MANY bugs.
Overall StuBot will load 40% faster and be 30% more stable.
A fresh install has been produced for those
of you that don't already have StuBot Professional 1.4.0557. And if you DO
have StuBot there is an update pack with a conversion utility to bring all
of your other files up to date.

I've started serious work on the Official StuBot website now and it should
be ready very soon! Thanks for your patience! Please keep checking back for

developments...
Just a quick update about StuBot Professional 1.4. I am working on the next
release, or at least I've started. StuBot will now have basic telnet access
with commands linking it to the plug-in interface. I am also adding
individual user profiles, so you can specify what users get to use what
commands regardless of access level. I am also building in a smaller version
of this editor on a global scale so that you can disable/enable StuBot
commands. And finally, I'm extending and stabilizing the scripting engine.
Firstly I am adding JScript support as well as VBScript support - I may add
an option for scripts to be use both actively but I like the idea of all
scripts being uniform. To that I am adding an Auto-update utility so that
you won't have to keep checking back for updates. If you have any features
